Celebrate the Pasadena Tournament of Roses
Tourists and locals often head to Pasadena on New Year’s Day. It is an event that attracts more than a million people. Equestrian groups, bands, floats and food are part of the great celebration. The event takes place on January 1 or 2, depending on the day it falls.

This annual event lasts approximately 2 hours. The Tournament of Roses parade follows a 5.5-mile route. The event ends at approximately 9.30am. The event is so popular that the city allows people to claim their viewing spot on the route the day before the parade. Overnight camping is also allowed, and people are also allowed to make small fires in fireproof containers. You will see unique floats with displays made of various flowers, each with different themes.
