Property vandalism is an expensive endeavor not only for the recipient in repairing the damage, but also for the one who is so destructive when he ends up in jail. Egging cars may seem like a harmless prank. In fact, it’s not harmless though, as it leaves stains on some car paint finishes. If there are a lot of spots, it could mean having to repaint the car. Now that harmless prank has turned into hundreds of dollars worth of damages.

There are some people who have said that Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion rubbed into the egg stain and left on for five minutes and then washed off works well. I haven’t seen this in action, so it’s hard to say how valid it is.

There are two solutions you can try before taking it to the auto repair shop.

Method one:

Step one
Most of the time what happens is if the egg hits the car the wrong way it will crack the paint. So first you need to assess the damage very carefully. If the paint isn’t chipping, you can try this method; otherwise, you need to go to method 2.

Second step
Purchase very high grit sandpaper and soak one strip in water overnight. The paper must be saturated with water.

Step three
Sand the stained area very lightly with the sandpaper that you soaked in water overnight. Don’t apply too much pressure and be sure to keep the sandpaper wet.

Step four
Rinse the area well and dry it. Now you need to use a rotary polisher. This should remove any marks left by sanding. The technique you’ve used here is a soft serve that has had a clear coat melted on it.

step five
Now you are going to want to remove the swirl marks and you do this by applying a sheer polish and buffing it out.

If the egg stain mark does not disappear, you will need to resort to step two.

method two:
Fold an extra-strong paper towel into a square and place it over the egg stain. Then spray the paper towel with brake cleaner making sure to keep it confined to the area of the stain. Brake fluid can remove some of the car’s paint, so make sure you don’t get it anywhere except on the stain.

If the car is badly chipped you will need to sand it down and then touch it up with some car paint.

Removing permanent stains from cars can be very difficult. In order not to end up having to do a full paint job, I would be much further along to take it to a paint repair shop and have it done professionally. Too often, do-it-yourselfers have ended up costing themselves a great deal of money thinking they could fix a problem themselves.

Ideally, if there is vandalism in your area, it would be wise to keep your vehicle in a protected location if possible.
