The relaxed season is almost over and now is the time to start looking for Lacrosse summer camps. Lacrosse summer camps are great opportunities for players to learn and relearn lacrosse basics that will improve their game. At lacrosse camps, players receive training in the fundamentals of lacrosse and their specific positions. College and professional Lacrosse players use their experience and vast knowledge of the game to teach young players ways to be successful in the game of Lacrosse. It is now an unwritten law of lacrosse, that aspiring players who dream of playing lacrosse at an elite level must attend summer lacrosse camps. They are the only way to develop the skill set necessary to excel in all aspects of the game.

Lacrosse Camps focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game and introducing important life lessons to help young players develop strong lacrosse skills while developing good character. Through positive reinforcement and motivation, campers learn key lacrosse skills and concepts while competing in fun contests and engaging in dynamic drills.

Lacrosse Camps are popping up across the country because more players are realizing the importance of year-round training. Lacrosse camps can be found in many states including New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Oregon, New Jersey, California, Connecticut, Tennessee, South Carolina, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Virginia, Kansas , Fla., Mich. , Wisconsin, Utah and Delaware. Most of the camps are held during the day, with players starting their training at 9am and finishing around 3pm. However, as demand increases, more and more overnight camping sites are being offered where additional instruction is offered. These overnight camps take extreme precautions to ensure the safety of their campers.

A typical day for overnight lacrosse campers consists of the following:

7:30 – Wake up
8:00 – Breakfast
9-11 – Morning Lacrosse Session (Warm Up, Drills, Stations, Position Work)
11-12 – Individual Specialty Instruction, Downtime
12:00 – Lunch
2-4 – Afternoon Lacrosse Session (demos, small group scrimmages, team play)
4-5 – Individual Instruction, Contests, Camper/Counselor Challenge, Downtime
5:00 – Dinner
6:15-8:30 – Lacrosse Afternoon Session (Team Games/Tournament)
9-10:30 – Evening Activities (Movies, Pizza, Game Movies, Basketball, Guest Speakers, Weight Room, College Talk)

As you can see, the days are packed with Lacrosse instruction where all aspects of the game are covered. Players enjoy the activity and rarely have time to miss home or think about anything other than Lacrosse. By nightfall, they are usually so exhausted that they go to sleep very early, ready and full of energy for the next day.
