Since I’m back to being a full-time blogger and internet marketer, I’d like to share some easy-to-implement tips to promote your blog. The first thing you will need is good content on your blog
Give the visitor something of value so they can share it online. This will help spread the word. Now let’s see some easy ways to promote your blog to get more loyal readers, increase profits and build an email list.
Submit your blog to directories
The good thing about blog directories is that you find a lot of like-minded people and bloggers and that will help you get more readers and subscribers. Instead of going to Google to find the best blogs, go to these directories and see what is trending and follow the trending stories, comment and be a part of the community.
You will also get backlinks and the traffic is good because it is targeted. Here are the top 3 blog directories:
– Blog catalog
– Blograma
– Best of web blog search
These are very picky about who they add to their directory, so you’ll find good people who know what they’re doing there. If your blog is not accepted, know that you do not have good content.
Get your content featured on the best blogs
Guest blogging is another great strategy. If you know something, a strategy or trick that a lot of people don’t know about in your niche. Or have an advanced technique to use a specific software. You can then approach a blog owner (who gets a lot of traffic) and give them a short 500-word article that talks about the trick.
As long as the article has an “Ahh Haa Monment” and the blog owner thinks it will be valuable to their subscribers, they will post it on their blog and get a good backlink and lots of visitors to their blog. .
Analyze your competition
Use websites and tools like Alexa, Quantcast, and SEMrush to analyze your competitors. See where your biggest visitors are coming from and see if you can get traffic from the same source. See the demographics of your visitors, their age, education level, if they have children, etc.
Once you have all this information it will be easy to set up the blog correctly, you will know what language to use and you won’t have to worry about how to promote your blog because you already know where the big blogs get traffic from so just go there and get it.
There are many ways to promote your blog or site, these are just a few that I like to share because when applied correctly you will start seeing some good traffic in just a few weeks. You can also use social media, bookmarking sites, press releases, blog comments, PPV, solo ads, and many other techniques.
But my advice to you would be to find a strategy that you are comfortable with and use it only, don’t jump from one technique to another. Use one and master it, they all work, you just need a way to model it and make it work for you. When you say you have mastered a technique it should make you at least $1k per month then you can say you have mastered it.
