Toyota Etios Overview: Toyota recently launched it in the Indian market. It was first introduced in January 2010 at the Delhi Auto expo. It is one of the small cars in the Indian market that is also available in South America, Russia and other countries in the world. This sedan comes in 5 versions with 1 engine and 1 transmission options in the Indian market. Models-Toyota Etios G, G Opt, Etios J, Etios V and Etios VX. The car runs on 1496 cc gasoline, manual and kpl. It is available in 7 different colors (Symphony Silver, White, Harmony Beige, Celestial Black, Vermilion Red and Serene Blueish Silver) in the Indian market.

Swift Dzire Overview: It is an entry level sedan from India’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki. It was released on March 26, 2008. This car is based on the Swift platform and is a replacement for Esteem. It comes in 6 versions with 2 engine and 1 transmission options in the Indian market. The car has already been accepted by the Indian customers. According to the company, it is one of the successful models in terms of sales.

Engine comparison: The Swift Dzire (Petrol) is powered by a 1197cc 4-cylinder 4-valve DOHC petrol engine with 85PS@6000rpm, 113Nm@4500rpm and available in 5-speed manual transmission. Toyota Etios comes with a well-refined 1.5 liter petrol engine that generates a power of 100 bhp. So we can say that Etios is more powerful than Swift Dzire. Fuel economy – The company claims close to 17 kmpl but you’ll get the real figure when people start driving it, whereas Dzire has maintained good cred over the years on fuel consumption and offers mileage close to the 15 kmpl.

Interior Comparison: Both cars are unique in their interior features, ultimately it depends on individual taste. The Etios has beautiful interior features like internally adjustable ORVM, trunk light, leather wrapped steering wheel, passenger side sun visor with mirror, interior day/night rear view mirror, chrome accented vents etc. The speedometer is placed in the center of the dashboard, which is not pleasant at all.

While Swift Dzire also has some extraordinary interior features like stylish tachometer, trip meter (digital display), lighting control, fabric-trimmed door trims, interior light on when switch is turned on central door locking, trunk or trunk light, etc. Etios is better than Dzire when it comes to space. Both cars have air conditioning, power windows, power steering, anti-lock braking system, airbags (driver | passenger), leather seats and a CD player. But the quality of the upholstery is much better in Etios.

Exterior comparison: The Etios will dominate the Dzire when it comes to exterior features. Etios is a sportier and more aggressive looking sedan. It has great exterior features like tubeless tires, carefully carved body color bumpers, intermittent wiper blades, B-pillar blackout, chrome side protection molding insert, chrome trunk garnish, chrome front grille garnish, etc. And the 12-spoke alloy wheels add to the beauty. .

While Dzire’s frontal appearance is very normal and nothing fancy about it. This sedan also has many exterior features such as tailgate opener, key type, body color bumpers, body color door handles, left and right internally adjustable ORVM, rear window defroster, Black A and B pillars, green tinted glass windows, windshield wipers, 2 speed +1 speed intermittent, Tubeless tires and 185/70R14 alloy wheels.

Safety Comparison: Both cars are equally good when it comes to safety features. Both cars have anti-lock braking system (ABS), airbags (driver | passenger), central locking system, EBD (electronic brake distribution), door warning, immobilizer, keyless entry, driver seatbelt warning , etc. The plus point of Dzire is that it comes in both petrol and diesel versions whereas Etios comes only in petrol version. The price of Etios starts at 5 lakhs and ends at 7 lakhs in the Indian market. The price of Dzire starts at 4.96 lakhs and ends at 7.25 lakhs.
