To this day, many people around the world love, like, and adore country music. It’s the authenticity and warmth that draw fans to country songs. Some old country songs are still some people’s favorites.

Dolly Parton wrote this dong for a close friend of hers, Porter Wagoner, who was her co-host on a TV show where they are famous for their duets. This was the second of 5 consecutive #1 country hits Parton had after establishing herself as a solo artist. Parton recorded another version of this which immediately became a #1 hit on the country charts.

This song was written with producer/songwriter Billy Sherril. This song is about women being faithful and supporting their men, holding on to them even in bad times. This song reached number one on the UK charts in 1975.

This song was written by Merle Kilgore and the wife of June Carter-Cash. This song is about how Carter felt about Cash.

Top 8- Forever and ever, amen by Randy Travis The singer had won the Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 1988.

This was written by the songwriting trio of Wayne Carson Thompson, Mark James and Johnny Christopher. This song is about a man who never admits his feelings for the woman he loves. The Country Music Association named this single of the year in 1982.

Top 10- Garth Brooks dance

This song was written by Tony Arata and Henry Drysdale-Wood. This implies that it is better not to know how things will end. This became the 1990 Song of the Year and Video of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.
