If you are looking for the simple and easy to use signature phone, then the Nokia 6300 is the phone for you. This streamlined beauty is specifically designed with simplicity in mind. In fact, Nokia calls this model “Simply beautiful, beautifully simple”. You won’t find all the features currently available on camera phones crammed into this slim little beauty; instead, they have stripped down functions to the bare essentials. With this model, trying to be everything to everyone has been thrown overboard in favor of seeking the perfect balance between simplicity and utility.

For example, of the most popular file formats supported for music, support is limited to MP3 and MP4 format. You won’t find support here for the less popular format like WMA. You’ll even be able to use MP3 ringtones, True Tones and MIDI for up to 64 polyphonic tones.

You can get stereo FM radio and the phone supports the use of headphones. There is also a video player, but at the time of this review it is not clear which formats are supported. There’s essentially unusable storage capacity built in that comes in at less than 8 megabytes, but the phone does have a microSD slot and Nokia includes a 128 megabyte card with the purchase of the phone. We recommend that you use the slot to expand the available storage space to the maximum your phone can recognize, for 2 gigabytes of music, pictures, and movies.

The camera has also been stripped down to the bare essentials by removing the flash and any LED photo lights. The camera will take pictures at a maximum resolution of 2 megabytes. The camera uses the entire two-inch viewfinder both to display what the camera is seeing and the photos or videos you’ve taken, and since the screen has over 16 million colors, you should find taking photos easy and fun. Autofocus will do the focusing for you, increasing ease of use.

You can still check your email and send messages to your friends, clients and colleagues with the Nokia 6300, and you can even send messages with attachments. Nokia Suite is included in the package and you will be able to send voice messages or sound clips with its help using MMS.

The physical design of the phone includes a black and silver finish, as well as the aforementioned 2-inch screen, a real 12-key keyboard for numbers that can also be used for the alphabet, and 4 buttons for navigation and menu. features It weighs 91 grams and with dimensions of approximately 106 x 44 x 12 it should easily fit in your pocket or purse.

This solid-state work of art certainly lived up to the promise of simplicity during the review, appearing to be well-built and durable. It’s a good overall choice for most personal users and many business users, and we feel good about recommending it for the ease of use it offers.
