Once finished, wipe the hood with the old cloths.

Next, put a little white flour in the bowl of vinegar water and let it rest for a moment to form a thick paste. Apply the paste to the copper range hood with a clean cloth and rub off any discoloration. If necessary, use the scrub pad with care.

Now add about a quarter cup of lemon juice to the vinegar and flour paste mixture and mix with a few pinches of salt to create another paste. This mixture will help remove stubborn stains that won’t go away with the methods mentioned above.

To address this problem, all you need:

  • Salt table

  • Sodium bicarbonate

To start, cut a lemon in half and then sprinkle some table salt on the inside of one of the halves. Rub the affected copper with lemon and salt, and then rinse the clean area with warm water. Next, as you did with the ventilation hood, mix a paste of baking soda and vinegar. Rub the paste on any opaque spots that are covered with lime scale in your copper sink or cooking pots.

If necessary, use a non-abrasive pad, but rub gently. You can let the paste sit for a few minutes until the lime starts to fade. Be sure to clean the area with a cloth and it should be left with a shiny copper finish.
