You can really lose weight without endless dieting and if you are clinically obese (BMI over 30), there is hope with a virtual gastric band placed under hypnosis. Yes. Hypnotherapy may be the best option for losing weight.

I have been running two successful weight loss programs together and therefore have had great experience in helping many people with their weight problems; both programs have at their core the same philosophies. Most dieters crave the things they shouldn’t eat or, after dieting and losing weight, go back to their old habits. Some of your diets may exclude certain foods, leaving an unbalanced diet that puts pressure on the liver and kidneys, potentially quite dangerous.

I think it’s important to get people in touch with the pleasure of eating good food and persuade them of the profitability of eating less high-quality food instead of cheaper, fat-saturated and salt-saturated foods – really good nutrition. It offers better value for money. terms of value and you wouldn’t put paraffin in your gas tank after all, would you? To carry that metaphor beyond comfortable consumers, you wouldn’t put fuel in the car if the oil light came on, right? However, the oil lamp is a warning that something is wrong and putting chocolate in your mouth does not solve the problems. Comfort food doesn’t solve anything, but it does cause obesity.

Many of these problems are associated with stress from anxiety or lack of self-confidence or with past habits embedded by poor nutritional practices when they were little: “you must clean your plate,” for example. I say more pounds in the bin than pounds at the waist!

These issues can be addressed with hypnotherapy, giving strategies to deal with anxiety, stress, and lack of confidence, and using techniques like regression to deal with psychological issues that may have led to an abusive relationship with food. A 21 stone lady came to see me and once we solved her bullying problems and gave her her nutritional advice, she started to lose weight quickly, something she had never been able to do!

Additionally, the American Health Authority now blames junk food for much of the obesity, which you may also call “addicted” food, the food has added fat, sugar and salt and the taste buds are literally addicted to these things. If you’ve ever seen “Get Over Me” you know how dangerous it can be, especially if your eating balance leans toward junk food.

Another important weapon is the food diary: write down everything you eat, but also when and why you eat certain foods.

If obesity reaches the level of a BMI of more than 30, then for some, the choice is hard: they will have terrible health problems if they do not lose weight; They will have tried all the diets and pills and found that they fail because I have not addressed all the underlying problems of overeating. Sometimes they are left with the only option of a gastric band – the operation can cost anywhere from £ 3,000 – £ 7,000 – in some cases the operation can be dangerous – I recently had a client who had had multiple strokes and two of them serious – for her risks are too high.

Combining good nutritional advice with learning to enjoy food properly and dealing with underlying psychological issues can lead to permanent weight loss. Also, placing the virtual gastric band under hypnosis, using something like the HypnoGastricBand system, makes weight loss that much more likely. The system works for most people and clients have reported that they can not only see and experience the operation without pain, but can also feel it when it is put on. The discomfort passes quickly and people find that they start to eat smaller portions and, like my other weight loss clients, eat less and exercise more and start enjoying food again.

The gastric band operation is explained under hypnosis and, as it is a keyhole surgery, it is relatively simple: tie a band around the upper part of the stomach; the band can be tightened or loosened and the golf ball-sized part of the stomach made by the band means that the hypothalamus, the governor of appetite, tells you that you are full; food passes normally. The hypnotic gastric band fitted under hypnosis works in the same way as a real gastric band. If you have a BMI less than 30, there are also weight loss programs that do the same but skip adjusting the gastric band.

So consider hypnotherapy if you’ve tried the rest and failed. My experience is that for most people it is a realistic alternative.
