Some people are afraid to use stainless steel cookware, they are afraid that the lack of Teflon coating will cause the food cooked on it to stick. I bought my first set of stainless steel pans on the HSN sales network and decided to try it myself. These pans are a dream and they clean up beautifully. My experience with these beautiful pans has been nothing but positive, and I have put them to the test. The 20-piece aluminum skillet set I purchased is from Wolfgang Puck, a well-known chef who definitely knows a good skillet when he sees it. Here are some of the highlights of this beautiful set.

My set included a 1-quart saucepan, 2-quart saucepan, omelet pan, 8-quart stock pot, skillet, and large wok. They are all heavy and very well built. Glass lids for all the pots and pans were also included, as well as some beautiful stainless steel cookware including spoons, turners, forks, tongs, a slotted spoon, and even an adjustable measuring spoon. The elegant mirror finish on all pieces makes them worth displaying. My kitchen looks so much more elegant with these pans in use.

Most importantly, these pans cook evenly and quickly. I have gas burners and use the skillets on medium heat for best results. I followed the included instructions, which tell the user to first preheat the pan, then add the oil or butter to the hot pan. Then, add whatever you’re cooking. It worked like a charm, and nothing has stuck. To clean pans, while they’re still hot, I pour water into them and then take a cloth, to wipe up any debris, or run the hot pan under the tap, to remove food. It works beautifully, and quickly.

Before I bought this set, I was a slave to cheap Teflon coated pans. But the coating didn’t cook as evenly as I would have liked and was scratched. In addition, there are currently studies on these types of coated pans that are supposedly bad for your health due to the chemicals that are released when cooking. I have a nice cast iron skillet, but a complete set is too expensive for my middle-class budget. This cookware set was reasonably priced and seeing them on HSN I could tell they were high quality. In person, they are even more impressive, along with the cookware, which is also heavy and well made. I am giving away my cheap plastic spatulas, spoons and forks to someone else now as this set happily meets all my cooking needs. They don’t show any wear with multiple uses, and the food cooked in them didn’t burn or scorch at all. You couldn’t tell that with the old coated pans.

If you want a quality cookware set, Wolfgang Puck’s line of stainless steel pots, pans and utensils won’t fool you. They are worth every penny paid, and more. A professional cook would not put his name and reputation on the line by promoting disgusting pans. Give them a try and see how easy they are to use and clean. You won’t be disappointed.
